In a time when we can't all gather around a table, we can still come together as a community. We're Open Indy is a partnership between WRTV and our local restaurants and businesses with one goal: getting them through this tough time. Every day, we will help shine a light on the businesses that make up our community by telling their stories and rallying around those who are keeping the grills going, the hospitals running, and the businesses operating.

INDIANAPOLIS — National Cheesesteak Day is Tuesday, March 24, and one local business in the Butler-Tarkington area is giving back to the local community with each order placed.

"Hoagies and Hops" makes Philly style cheesesteaks and to make them authentic imports the bread from south Jersey. They sell cold hoagies and other items as well.

In honor of National Cheesesteak Day, Hoagies and Hops will de be donating 15% of all food, "Chilly Water Brewing growlers," gift cards, and shirt sales from Tuesday to the MLK Community Center, located on West 40th Street.

If you purchase a gift card through Friday, 15% of those sales will go to the MLK Center as well. Call ahead, and you can pay by phone, and they will bring your order right out to your car if you can't get there for a gift card, they will mail one out to you.

Hoagies and Hops is a local business that is not only providing a great meal but is looking out for the community in these troubling times.
