Former Colts general manager Ryan Grigson joined the Cleveland Browns as a senior personnel executive, according to ESPN.

Grigson served as the Colts general manager from 2012-2016 when he led the team to the playoffs three times. After one year in his general manager role, Grigson was named the NFL's Executive of the Year.

He was fired by Jim Irsay in January 2017.

“Ryan is an outstanding man,” Irsay said previously. “This decision was reached with a heavy heart because Ryan is a good man, a father of six, all under the age of 13. His wife has her hands full to say the least. As part of this organization, he worked tirelessly to make us better. He has a record to be proud of.”

Grigson will now report to someone quite familiar - Andrew Berry, the Brown’s vice president of player personnel.

Berry reported to Grigson while he was in Indianapolis.
