INDIANAPOLIS -- The NFL Combine has been in Indianapolis for 30 years and those who run it say it's not going anywhere else.
President of National Football Scouting Jeff Foster says there are no plans to even consider moving the combine for several reasons, but one of the biggest reasons is the event's relationship with IU Health.

When Lucas Oil Stadium was under construction in 2008, then-Colts general manager made sure to include elements NFL Combine officials would appreciate, like fiber optic lines from Methodist Hospital underground to the stadium.
To this day, that allows medical information from equipment -- like portable MRI machines -- to be sent directly to the hospital for evaluation.
Few -- if any -- other cities can provide that kind of connectivity for NFL teams.
"A lot of what we do in the stadium, in the hotel in the evenings, those could really be done any place," Foster said. "But the medical examinations and the people involved in the processes, it's just really important to be here in Indianapolis."
The NFL Combine contract runs through 2020 with one-year options each year after that.
