WEST LAFAYETTE — Purdue University is planning an extensive renovation of Ross-Ade Stadium, but before any work is done, the school wants to hear from Boilermaker football fans.
Elevate Sports Ventures has been hired to conduct what the company calls a "massive, fan-focused strategic study."
100,000 people will be surveyed starting this month.
Season ticket holders, individual game ticket purchasers, students and alumni will be asked to take the survey.
The results will help guide Purdue as it makes changes to the 95-year-old stadium.
Getting in and out of Ross-Ade, concessions, parking, restrooms and game day entertainment could see changes.
The stadium sat 13,000 when it opened in 1924.
A number of renovations and improvements have been made over the years and current capacity is 57,000.
Success on the football field leads to more fans in the stands.
The Boilermakers have gone to bowl games each of the last two seasons and during that time, average attendance has jumped from 34,000 to 51,000.
