INDIANAPOLIS – Players with the Indiana Fever announced Friday an initiative to support non-profit organizations working toward social justice.

The initiative, called #FEVER4CHANGE, will raise money for multiple organizations.

“It was important for our team to make sure we go beyond just educating and spreading awareness of social injustice.” Fever veteran Natalie Achonwa said in a release. “We wanted to create initiatives that provide support to organizations that are working to make actual change.”

The team will raise money through the following two methods:

- Rebounds4Change: Fever players are challenging fans to show their support for social justice by pledging a financial contribution for each rebound the team pulls down this season. Further specifics on where fans can make pledged contributions will be available soon.

- Sneaker Auction: Each Fever player will wear a unique, custom sneaker over the course of the 2020 season. The sneakers will then be auctioned at the end of the season to raise support for Fever4Change grantees.
