INDIANAPOLIS -- The ladies of professional golf are teeing off in Indiana this weekend in the Indy Women in tech Championship.

This is the second year of the championship, which is held at Brickyard Crossing, where the pros will play their holes inside the track.

Fans are welcome to bring a chair to watch but there’s also a 360-degree view on the new spectator deck.

“Outside of the golf, we’re here to tell a story about Indy women in tech, the foundation behind this event,” said tournament director Harry Hardy. “The work that they do throughout the year to get more girls interested in STEM, which ultimately creates job opportunities for them.”

The tournament’s mission is to empower women and girls in science, technology, engineering and math.

“It’s a story around an empowerment and how the city of Indianapolis has really rallied around the special cause,” said Hardy.

The event will take place on Saturday and Sunday. You can buy a ticket for unlimited food and beer tasting at the food experience behind hole 15.

Kids get in free with a paid adult admission.
