INDIANAPOLIS -- Country music singer Blake Shelton will headline the Legends Day Concert at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 28, the day before the Indianapolis 500.
“The Firestone Legends Day Concert has featured tremendous country music in recent years and our 2016 lineup, headlined by a true superstar in Blake Shelton, will provide an outstanding experience for fans," said J. Douglas Boles, Indianapolis Motor Speedway president. "The energy from his show will undoubtedly carry over to the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500.”
Chris Janson and Corey Cox will open for Shelton.
Shelton, known for being a judge on "The Voice," is a Grammy nominee and is a five-time CMA Awards Male Vocalist of the Year.
Tickets will go on sale on Feb. 29 at 9 a.m., but current IMS customers can purchase them Tuesday. General admission is $40, while access to the pit costs $75.
