NEW YORK — The Pacers emerged from their winter hibernation, also known as the All Star break, with a bang.

Playing for the first time since February 12, Indiana hung on at Madison Square Garden for a 106-98 win over the Knicks.

The difference was the third quarter, with the Pacers going up by as many as 22 points and taking a 15 point lead into the final period.

The Knicks would come as close as four points with 23 seconds left, but Indiana made eight of eight from the free throw line in the closing seconds to put the game away.

T.J Warren was high point man for the Pacers with 27 points. Domantas Sabonis finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Indiana out-rebounded the Knicks 50-40.

Victor Oladipo played 25 minutes and scored eight points, but left the game in the second half with a sore back.

Indiana heads to Toronto for a game Sunday with a 33-23 record and the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks fall to 17-39 and have lost three straight.
