INDIANAPOLIS — The NBA All-Star game coming to Indianapolis in 2021 is about more than basketball for the Indiana Pacers.

The organization wants the game to leave something behind in the city, which is why the Pacers launched a legacy initiative on Tuesday.

The Pacers are now inviting anyone who would like to apply for grants that will lead to big projects, like playgrounds and education labs.

Indiana Fever legend Tamika Catchings is the VP of Basketball Operation with the Fever and co-chair of the All-Star Game Host Committee.

Catchings came to the RTV6 newsroom to talk with us further about the legacy initiative.
