INDIANAPOLIS -- A new coat of paint at the Carrier plant on the west side was raising questions Wednesday night.

The union who represents Carrier's workers says a new round of talks with the company was scheduled between July 12 and 26.

The plan is to discuss the benefits the employees will receive when the company begins to cut jobs beginning next year.

Considering the planned closing, employees were asking this week why a new coat of paint went on a cooling tank at the plant.

The tank used to show most of the logos of the different brands of furnaces made in Indianapolis. Carrier is just one of nine.

A United Technologies spokesman said the paint job is just "standard property maintenance."

The company did not immediately respond to questions about whether those logos would return.
