Police said preliminary investigation didn't turn up evidence linking the death to any other recent discoveries along the White River.

Last month, the body of 44-year-old James Rice was pulled from the White River near New York Street.

Police were initially only able to identify the body by a tattoo on Rice's back reading "Only God Can Judge Me."

A week later, a possible human arm was recovered from the river near 10th Street – about a mile north of where Rice's body was discovered.

The possible arm has not yet been positively identified.
