Where Indiana colleges rank on U.S. News and World Report's best colleges list

INDIANAPOLIS -- The U.S. News and World Report released its latest list of best colleges, and a few Indiana schools made the list.

The top Indiana school is Notre Dame at No. 18, followed by Purdue at No. 56, and Indiana University at No. 90.

Ball State is No. 187, while IUPUI rounds out the list at No. 192. 

In a smaller group of colleges, Butler, Valparaiso and the University of Evansville made the top 10 in the list of regional universities. 

These are the top 10 best national universities:

1.    Princeton
2.    Harvard
3.    Univ. of Chicago
4.    Yale
5.    Columbia
6.    MIT
7.    Stanford
8.    Univ. of Pennsylvania
9.    Duke
10.    California Institute of Technology
