Woman found shot to death outside home on Indy's northeast side identified

INDIANAPOLIS -- Police are investigating after a woman was found shot to death outside a home on Indianapolis' northeast side Monday evening.  

Officers were called to the 2800 block of Anna Lane around 10:30 p.m. 

When they arrived they found an unresponsive woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Marion County Coroner has identified the victim as Brianna Coleman, 27.  

Police have not said if foul play is suspected. 

The death remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
