MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. – An improvement in emergency medical service is officially on duty in Morgan County’s Monroe Township thanks to a new vehicle.

A fully-staffed Advanced Life Support ambulance arrived on schedule Monday at Fire Station 51 in Monrovia.

It came with a team of paramedics and will be available around-the-clock for ambulance runs in neighboring townships.

Officials said the new vehicle should improve response times during emergencies.

The ALS service was made possible thanks to a partnership between the fire department and Morgan County Emergency Medical Services.
