LAFAYETTE, Ind. – A man was arrested Saturday in connection with the death of a Lafayette art teacher.
Darius Javon Printup, 18, was arrested by officers of the Lafayette Police Department for murder of teacher Kristi Redmon, who was found dead on her front porch Wednesday evening.
Police located Redmon after neighbors reported shots in the area of Hedgewood Drive and Ridgeway Avenue.
Redmon was a teacher at Edgelea Elementary and Miami Elementary.

The case remains under investigation and will be turned over to the Tippecanoe County Prosecutors office for review.
Police said an autopsy was conducted Thursday, but findings have not yet been released.
