INDIANAPOLIS – For the first time since the February crash that took out her place of employment, we're hearing from a beloved longtime sandwich maker who was crushed by a car when it slammed into Greiner's Sub Shop.

Tina Scruggs worked at the sub shop for more than 3 decades. That run was ended by an SUV that crashed into the shop and forever changed her life.

She’s now in a wheelchair after 32 years on her feet making sandwiches.

The woman who put her there – Deana Schumaker, 41 – was arrested for intentionally driving her car into the shop. Shumaker told investigators she thought she was in danger. Police believe she was having some kind of mental episode.

Regardless, Scruggs’ life will never be the same.

For her emotional interview, watch our video in the player above. Beware: Some of the images and video may be disturbing to you. She got a lot of lasting injuries in the crash.
