INDIANAPOLIS — A man has been arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of a woman at an Indianapolis gas station over the weekend.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers say the woman was in the driver seat of a silver minivan when she was shot by a man Saturday morning at the Circle K gas station in the 2100 block of North Shadeland Avenue.

The woman, later identified as Yana Orr, 31, was transported to Methodist Hospital in critical condition, but she later died from her injuries.

Two children and two other women also were in the minivan and were uninjured.

A witness identified the shooter as Tyree Henning, 26, and said he knew the victim. Police say the shooting likely stemmed from a domestic incident.

The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle and crashed at East 21st Street and North Arlington Avenue before proceeding to East 19th Street and North Bolton Avenue. Henning was arrested Monday and has been preliminarily charged with murder.
