DELPHI, Ind. -- Tips in the investigation into the murders of two Delphi teens have increased more than 500 percent over the past five days after family members of the girls appeared on the Dr. Phil show to talk about the still-unsolved case.

The show aired on Wednesday, December 13, which also marked the 10-month anniversary of the day 14-year-old Liberty German and 13-year-old Abigail Williams went missing while hiking along the Monon High Bridge.

The girls’ bodies were found on the morning of February 14, on a piece of private property less than a mile from the place they were last seen alive.

Libby’s grandparents, Mike and Becky Patty, and Abby’s mother, Anna Williams, have been active and vocal in the search for their killer. All three appeared on the Dr. Phil Show last week along with Libby's sister, Kelsi, and Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter.

Dr. Phil McGraw shared the image and audio clip of the only suspect police have in the murders at this time. Both were captured by Libby on her cell phone the day the girls were killed. He also shared the sketch – released in July – that depicts the man police believe was photographed by Libby as viewed by a witness that was also on the trails that day.

Since the show aired, Indiana State Police Sergeant Kim Riley says they have received over 270 new tips in the investigation.

“We had been averaging 2-5 tips per day,” said Sgt. Riley.

Whether or not any of those tips will be the one needed to break this case is yet to be seen, but investigators and family members of the girls are hoping the new attention will help them find the girls’ killer.
