INDIANAPOLIS — The three judges who were facing discipline charges in relation to the May 1 incident that led to a shooting outside a White Castle in downtown Indianapolis have received their punishment from the Indiana Supreme Court.

Clark County Circuit Court judges Andrew Adams and Bradley Jacobs were both shot during the altercation and Crawford County Circuit Court Judge Sabrina Bell is accused of flipping off and inciting the other parties involved.

As part of the disciplinary decision handed down on November 12, Adams will receive a 60 day suspension without pay, effective immediately. His suspension will end on Monday, January 13, 2020 and he will be reinstated to his position in the Clark County Circuit Courts.

Jacobs and Bell will both receive a 30 day suspension without pay, which will begin on November 22 and end on December 23.

Discipline charges were filed against all three judges back in October in regards to their actions leading up to and after the fight and shooting outside the White Castle on South Street on May 1, 2019.

Court documents released back in October detailed the night of the shooting, which began with dinner. After drinks at several locations in downtown Indianapolis, the three judges and a magistrate attempted to go to The Red Garter Gentleman's Club around 3 a.m. Finding the club closed, they walked across the street to a nearby White Castle, which is where the altercation took place.

Judge Adams accepted a plea agreement to plead guilty to battery resulting in bodily injury in connection with the fifth, on September 9. Under the plea agreement, prosecutors agreed to dismiss six additional charges against Adams. He received a suspended sentence of 365 days. Adams has also petitioned to be reinstated to the bench.
