Bartholomew, Brown, Greene, Jackson, Lawrence, Martin and Monroe counties are under an areal flood warning until 5:45 p.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

A travel watch has been issued for Owen County, according to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security. During a travel watch, people are recommended to only travel to and from work and during emergency situations.

The Indianapolis Department of Public Works has crews continuing to monitor the streets and high water throughout Marion County, Ben Easley, a spokesperson for DPW, said in an email. Several streets are reportedly under water.

If you notice roads impassable due to high water, you are asked to report it to the Mayor's Action Center at 317-327-4622.

"Motorists are encouraged to stay vigilant to road conditions, and to turn around if a street is covered in deep water," Easley said.
