One person dead in fiery 3-vehicle crash in Grant County

GRANT COUNTY, Ind. -- One person is dead after a fiery three-vehicle crash in Grant County Thursday evening. 

Indiana State Police and the Grant County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene of the crash near 4700 South and S.R. 5 around 8 p.m. 

Grant County Sheriff's Department Captain Ed Beaty says one vehicle caught fire during the crash and one person was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Several other people were injured in the crash but the specific details have not been released. 

No identities have been released at this time. 

The crash remains under investigation by Indiana State Police.
