Man killed, passenger seriously injured in Henry County crash

HENRY COUNTY, Ind. -- A man is dead and his passenger seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash in Henry County Sunday afternoon. 

Deputies with the Henry County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash on SR 38 in the area of CR 300 W around 3:30 p.m. 

Indiana State Police say a 2001 Dodge Ram was pulling a horse trailer when a Buick Rendezvous side-swiped the truck, causing it to lose control before the Rendezvous and horse trailer impacted. 

The driver of the Rendezvous, Paul Young, was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. His passenger, Gayle Goodson, 43, was asleep at in the front seat at the time of the crash. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The driver and passenger of the truck were treated for non-life threatening injuries at the scene. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Indiana State Police.
