INDIANAPOLIS – An Indianapolis City-County councilor at the center of a child molestation investigation has indicated he has no intentions of stepping down from his position at this time.
The message came to Miller's constituents in Indianapolis' 16th District in his weekly email which was sent Friday afternoon.
The email stated any councilor can attend committee meetings, and share support or disapproval on a proposal.
“So regardless of which committees I serve on in the future, know that I will always be at any meeting that impacts the quality of life of neighborhoods in our city,” Miller wrote.
A City-County Council meeting is also scheduled for Monday night. Miller is expected to be in attendance.

Miller was charged on November 17 with three counts of child molestation. According to a probable cause affidavit filed in the case, the investigation began after a 10-year-old girl came forward claiming that Miller had massaged her and made her uncomfortable on more than one occasion.
Miller's note to his constituents comes ahead of a meeting scheduled for Monday where his colleagues will review his committee assignments and determine whether he needs to be removed from them.

Miller was suspended from the Board of Directors for Renew Indianapolis, and the CEO of Indiana Recycling Coalition said Miller suspended himself from their board.
On Tuesday, Miller attended several community meetings and did not comment on whether he thinks he can effectively serve on council while facing criminal charges.
