MOORESVILLE, Ind. – Investigators in Morgan County are trying to find the person or people who may be linked to repeated thefts of equipment in the area this spring.

Mooresville police say the latest incident happened around 6 a.m. May 14, when a pickup truck pulled up to Haltom Equipment Co. on State Road 67 South. Investigators believe the driver stole lawn mowers from the business.

Police say they understand it is most likely the same vehicle used in several other similar recent thefts that have occurred throughout Morgan County.

The thief’s vehicle is believed to be a silver, regular-cab Ford F-150 pickup truck with damage to the driver and passenger sides of the truck bed. The driver’s side appears to be partially painted black.

At the time of the Haltom theft, police say the truck was pulling a tandem-axle utility trailer with a loading ramp on the front passenger side, and a loading ramp on the rear.
