Measurable snow falls in Central Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS — There is measurable snow in parts of Indiana after snow fell in most of the state Tuesday evening.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for most of Indiana until 8 a.m. Tuesday.

8:37 p.m.
Here's a look at the snow on the south side of Indianapolis:

About 2,600 Indianapolis Power and Light customers near Lawrence are without power. View the latest outage map here.

Unincorporated areas of Hamilton County are under a travel advisory.

5:30 p.m.
The Kokomo Rescue Mission will open is dining room for anyone who needs to warm up on Tuesday and from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. on Wednesday:

5:25 p.m.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers have responded to 56 total crashes so far on Monday:

  • 44 Property damage crashes
  • 9 Personal injury crashes
  • 3 No information crashes

5:23 p.m.
Indiana State Police troopers from the Indianapolis district have responded to seven crashes since noon.
