INDIANAPOLIS -- Police found and caught people suspected of stealing vehicle batteries from an Indianapolis Walmart Tuesday morning.

The thefts happened sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning from the Walmart at 86th Street and Michigan Road, a spokesperson with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.

Officers caught up with a vehicle that had the batteries in it on I-465, and made a stop at the County Line Road exit of I-65.

There were many batteries in the vehicle. Two people were detained, but have not been charged in the incident, police say.
