CARMEL, Ind. -- Congratulations, Carmel residents! Your city has been named the No. 1 place to live in America.

The No. 1 ranking comes from Niche.com, a rankings and review website. The website used factors like crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, and local amenities.

Carmel received A+ scores in public schools, jobs, good for families and housing. Carmel received a B for cost of living and commute.

The lowest score Carmel received was a B- for weather, which... you know... central Indiana.
