INDIANAPOLIS -- If you notice a few of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department's cruisers look a little cooler this month, it's because they are - and it's for a good cause.

The department unveiled their "We Are Tougher Than Cancer" vehicle wraps on Thursday.

The pink wraps were placed on three vehicles, two went to officers who are impacted by cancer with inspiring stories and the third cruiser will be bouncing from district to district and will be on display at special events.

"The wraps are meant to raise awareness, spark community conversation and encourage others to share their stories of survival and/or donate to this worthy cause," said IMPD Sgt. Jim Gillespie.

The department's fall campaign has already raised more than $28,000 for local nonprofit organizations.
