INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis woman is pleading for help to find her stolen trailer she says was filled with a life full of memories.

Beatriz Vasquez says she packed up the trailer full of her family memories and art work to move from Carmel to Broad Ripple and left it outside her mother’s home on June 30. It was stolen that night.

Days later, Vasquez received a tip about where her trailer was that led her to Bricks Wholesale on West Washington Street.

With a police warrant, Vasquez was able to get some of her things back, but her trailer and much of what was inside is still missing.

“I am still missing a lot of wonderful memories,” said Vasquez. “We found some of our most treasured items very sadly in the dumpster, we are missing a lot of wonderful things that belong to the family.”

The owners of Bricks Wholesale, Brandon Davis, said they were sold the trailer by an unknown person but after learning it was stolen they left it at a corner and called police.

“When we found out it was stolen we put everything back out of the trash that we had taken out of the trailer and put it back in it,” said Davis. “A few things were left in the store – it wasn’t intentional. Our power was knocked out, I couldn’t see very well to get all the stuff out.”

So far, police have not been able to locate the trailer.
