INDIANAPOLIS -- An exciting Indianapolis 500 had some fans feeling burned after they waited for hours to ride the race's official shuttle bus service.
Riders say it was a very different story in the morning.
"It was great," said Evan Shearin. "Incredibly convenient. It picked us up a few blocks from our apartment, drove us there and got us there quickly."

But after the race, riders – who paid $29 for a round trip – waited in some cases for hours to leave the track.

The bus service was operated by a Louisville-based company whose offices were closed for the holiday and couldn't be reached.
"It was really hard to see where we were supposed to go to get into the lines," said Kate Haab. "I think they were overwhelmed by how many people they had trying to get onto a certain number of buses."
Shearin and Haab said it took 90 minutes to finally board a bus. Despite that, both said it was a great way to get to the track, and that they'll do it again next year.
