NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- The Noblesville Schools Education Foundation has set up a fund to support the student and teacher who were injured in a shooting at Noblesville West Middle School on Friday.

Ella Whistler, 13, and her science teacher, Jason Seaman, 39, were both shot by a student who brought two guns into the classroom, according to police.

Whistler's parents said Friday evening that she remains in critical condition but is currently stable. They issued a statement thanking the community and first responders for their support and prayers.

Seaman is being hailed a hero after students say he dove onto the student gunman and stopped him, getting shot three times in the process. He issued a statement Friday evening thanking the students and first responders. His condition has been upgraded to "good."
