KOKOMO, Ind. -- Two people have been arrested in Kansas in connection with a 2012 shooting at a Kokomo convenience store.
Christopher Voiles, 40, and Victoria Voiles, 26, were arrested in Lawrence, Kansas after a vehicle pursuit and crash. Kansas State Police contacted Indiana State Police on February 1 to notify them that they were in custody.
Christopher and Victoria are wanted for attempted murder and robbery in a Howard County cold case where a 50-year-old clerk was shot in the face during an attempted robbery at the Village Pantry in March 2012.
The clerk survived the shooting.
Kokomo Police connected the couple to the cold case after receiving a tip in December 2017 and issued warrants for their arrest.
Christopher and Victoria are currently being held in the Douglas County Jail in Kansas pending extradition to Howard County for the 2012 case.
