Community donates to Kountry Kitchen employees after fire

INDIANAPOLIS — Community members came together Tuesday to help Kountry Kitchen employees now out of work after a fire damaged the restaurant.

Employees like Rachel Ross say since the restaurant closed, things have been tough.

Several organizations, like RTV6's media partner Radio One, are helping to collect donations.

"It will go toward sustaining the employees that have stayed," owner Cynthia Wilson said. "Some have had to move on and I understand that, but yes, the ones that haven't found anything or are trying to hold our for the restaurant to open back up we are going to try to help as much as possible "

You can help the employees by making a donation online or visiting any Key Bank and making a donation using the account name "Kountry kitchen Benevolent Fund."
