COLUMBUS, Ind. -- One person was killed Sunday evening in a crash involving a U-Haul truck.

The crash happened at around 9 p.m., near the intersection of US 31 and E. 50 N.

Investigators with the Columbus Police Department say a 2005 Chevy Impala, driven by Ashley Corbin, 28, was traveling south on US 31 when she lost control of her vehicle and slid into the northbound lane of US 31.

Her vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a U-Haul truck.

Corbin was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital, where she died from her injuries. The driver of the U-Haul was treated at the scene.
