WESTFIELD, Ind. -- A man fleeing from police near Westfield, Indiana crashed his vehicle and got away on foot early Sunday morning.

The incident happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday, on US 31. An officer with the Westfield Police Department tried to conduct a traffic stop on a speeding black Chevrolet Camaro. Instead of pulling over, the driver abruptly exited US 31 onto the 136th Street ramp in Carmel.
